Privacy policy

For the private utility rclone-gdrive-atlas. Last updated 18 September 2026.

Scope of this policy

This policy covers rclone-gdrive-atlas, a private personal utility operated by Woodward Oge. It is not a public service and has exactly one user: its operator. It is described on the homepage.

How Google user data is accessed

The utility accesses Google Drive through Google OAuth. Woodward Oge grants access to his own Google account; no other person's account is ever connected.

It requests a single scope: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file (drive.file). Under Google's scope model this limits access to files created by, or explicitly opened with, this utility. It does not grant access to the full contents of the Google Drive account, and no other Google API or Google service data is requested.

How Google user data is used

Google Drive file data is used only to operate Woodward Oge's personal file recovery workflow: copying his own files to his own Google Drive, verifying those copies, and restoring them when needed. It is not used for any other purpose.

How Google user data is stored

How Google user data is shared

It is not shared. Specifically, Google user data obtained through this utility is not sold, not rented, not used for advertising, not used to train any model, and not shared with unrelated third parties. The only parties involved are Woodward Oge and Google itself as the storage provider.

Retention and deletion

Recovery copies are retained for as long as they are useful for recovery and are deleted by Woodward Oge from his own Google Drive. Deleting the local rclone configuration removes the stored OAuth tokens.

Revoking access

Authorization granted to this utility can be revoked at any time through the Google account's connected-app and security controls, at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Revoking access stops all further Drive access by this utility.

Cookies, tracking and analytics

This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics, tracking or advertising scripts. It serves static HTML only.

Changes to this policy

This policy will be updated on this page if the data practices described here materially change, and the date above will be revised.
